Dubai Airport to let International Passengers walk in without having to take out their tickets or passport in Terminal 3 (T3)

Smart Gates to allow International Passengers to walk in without showing passport or air ticket. In 2023 , millions of passengers using the Terminal 3 will start allowing international passengers walk in through check points without having to show their air tickets or passport. The new technology in place is the face recognition system. Smart Gate system will initially be available for Emirates Airline Passengers using the Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport and will then be extended to Terminal 1 and 2 to cover passengers of other airlines as well. Originally launched in 2020 by  General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai (GDRFA) , the system  was used only for UAE, GCC nationals and residents, and from 2023, the system will now allow international and transit passengers to walk through check points at airport without human intervention or the need to have a stamp on the passport. Lata Ji , as she was fondly addressed with respect was admitted in early January this year for covid-19 and was also diagnosed with pneumonia. on January 28, she was taken off the ventilator as her condition improved but then later on February 5, the condition deteriorated again and she breathed her last. Lata didi (elder sister) died due to a multi-organ failure after over 28 days of treatment after being admitted for covid-19 symptoms.
