How is CTR calculated?
What is a good CTR rate?
Experts say the average CTR in Google Ads is 1.91% for search ads and 0.35% for display ads.
But generally speaking, the industry standard as a rule of thumb is that a good Google Ads CTR (click-through rate) is 4-5% on the search network and 0.5-1% on the display network.
Is a high CTR good or bad?
In every campaign, a goal is a maximum number of clicks, it shows more and more people are showing interest and this leads to high sales.
High CTR (click-through rate) shows your campaign is targeting the right kind of people and this in return gives you high chances of getting your target leads and more sales.
The more people who click, there is the increased chance that these people will end up purchasing your services or goods.
Similarly, a low CTR means your ads are not reaching the right target audience as when not many people click, more sales are not happening.
